Live to Tape #1 – The Hill Project
Here’s the first in our series of concerts, Live to Tape at Visconti Studio. This month we feature The Hill Project.
The Hill Project is a collaboration between four independent artists, all of whom are Kingston University music alumni. This special get-together showcases original material created with equipment from music’s Loans Room. The session was recorded directly to our Studer A827 2″ 24-track machine.
The Hill Project comprises:
Afternoon Drifter (Tarik Ech-Charif) – a practicing musician for over 25 years who specialises in ambient guitar soundscapes, dub, sound design and electronica.
J.Castle (Jeremy Castillo) – a diverse bass guitarist whose main interests are trap, dub fused with funk and R&B.
Ivette K (Ivi Kougae) – a classically trained musician who plays flute and clarinet, specialising in music for meditation.
Mr Howler (Jack Stanley) – an accomplished pianist and keyboard player who fuses R&B and jazz with hip hop beats, synthesis and rhythm programming.
Keep your eye out for news of our next session on Tuesday 4th February.
