• KU Music Internships

Current Kingston University students enrolled on our Popular Music and Music Technology undergraduate degrees, or our MA Courses, are able to apply for the Visconti Studio Internship Scheme.

On this scheme,  students will be periodically offered placements in recording sessions as sound engineers, assistants, pro tools and tape operators. They might also be offered opportunities to engineer sound and otherwise assist at our public-facing events.

  • To apply, you need to have some studio experience, or have completed at least 6 months (1 teaching block) of a recording/production module (MU4203, MU4303 or MU5005 for undergraduates, MU7006 for postgrad).
  • You will also need to complete the form below, and include a link to a production that shows off your sophisticated sound engineering and/or music production skills.

Once on the scheme, you will be notified and added to the queue. We will aim to place each individual at least once during the academic year, but this will be ultimately determined by the number of sessions and events that come through during that time.
